Rincón is so well known in surfing circles that it has hosted two World Surfing championships. One of the main attractions is the restored Rincón Lighthouse and Park. This lighthouse and park is a great stopping point in Rincón. Tour guides are available. Tour guides available by appointment with the tourism office. It's going to be open during the Whale Festival from the 28 to 30 of March.

Humpback whales may be seen in the winter from the observation park at the Rincón lighthouse. The peak season is February, though whales have been spotted from late December through late March. Just ask around the marina or the lighthouse. In the peak season, you may see them a few hundred meters off the lighthouse.
This reserve is just northwest of Rincón, about 12 miles out. It has some of the clearest waters and best diving in Puerto Rico. Snorkelers will find plenty to see in the shallows. The refuge itself is closed and you cannot enter the island.
