This small village has some of Puerto Rico’s premier attractions: world-class diving, a nature reserve and a bioluminescent bay. Combining some of the clearest waters and best wall diving, this area is not to be missed by the serious diver.

    Boats leave from La Parguera dock.
    Great for a trip on a moonless night. Take one of the many local boats to Bahía La Parguera for a little dinoflagellate watching. Due to their delicate ecology, bioluminescent bays are rare.

    Off the coast of Parguera.
    An area where more than 30 mangrove cays and islands form ornate channels. On the weekend, locals often visit one of the mangrove areas for an impromptu gathering. Go to the dock by the plaza to arrange a trip.
