Arroyo

The name Arroyo comes from boquita de arroyo (small mouth stream) because people stopped in town to refresh themselves during their journey. Today Arroyo is called the "Pueblo Grato" (pleasant town) because of its natural beauty. This includes the beaches and thermal waters in the area.

Currently shut down for renovation. A great train ride through an old sugarcane plantation. About 25 minutes each way in historic cars pulled by a diesel switcher engine. Kids love it.
